A washer necklace

While I was at girl's camp this last weekend I was able to help the girls with a few different crafts. I didn't get to do most of them because we didn't have enough materials for all the leaders/adults as well.

The one craft that I was able to have was a washer necklace. It was SO much fun and so easy.

We used 2 different sized washers, scrapbook paper, tacky glue (spray on), a nail file, and glossy accents to make them.

I found a tutorial that shows what we did, I'm not sure if this is the one that we used, but it works the same. The girls had a lot of fun with them and I'm glad that I got to have one as well. They took a long time to dry, so make sure you have a flat surface that won't be bumped.  Also, if you do it right, you won't need to use a toothpick to push the glossy accents stuff around. It looks better and won't have bubbles.

One last thing, I didn't let mine dry long enough, so they are stuck together. I did it on purpose because I liked it. Other girls made sure theirs dried so that they kind of click when they walk.

As always, comments are appreciated.
