A fleece blanket all tied up

Blanket Tutorial:

I don't usually do tutorials.. but I have no idea where I learned how to do this and I have no place to reference. I will be showing how to tie a fleece blanket. These are EXTREMELY warm and cuddly so if you live somewhere that gets cold (at least for a few months) these are nice to have around. Also, since you make them they can be any size you want!

Start by making sure the wrong sides of the fleece are together! Match up the fabric - cut off excess if needed.  Then, we'll move onto the corners.  Depending on the size of your blanket, cut a square from each corner. (With smaller blankets it'll be a smaller square).

I think that I did about 3 1/2 inches on each side.

If you cut one corner, just use that as your pattern for the rest. Then you will cut strips along each side that are about 1 inch from each other and the length of your square.

From there it's nice to put on music or a movie because it's simple, but takes time. Take the 2 corresponding fleece pieces that you just cut and tie them together using a granny knot. I sometimes like to pull the fabric as I go... you'll hear tearing but it doesn't hurt the blanket.

Just tie all the pieces together and your blanket is finished!! Here is one I made for myself (so I can cuddle the new baby soon) and here's one for my nephew. Aren't they adorable?!

I hope this helped. They are so simple and extremely comfortable!
