Thanksgiving decor

I really love Thanksgiving and it seems like people skip over it pretty quickly. I love this time of year because it really feels like fall, football is in full swing, and it's the perfect time to bake.

I decided that I'd like to try something new this year ... well, okay let me tell this story first - I went to a local boutique (a block away) for some inspiration and got a few things while I was there. One of them was a wood craft with chalk board paint that said: Today we're thankful for... I thought it was perfect for my family.

So back on track - I wanted to try something new this year and really want to focus on being thankful for our blessings this time of year. I've been asking my daughter what we are thankful for and of course she's said grandma & grandpa (all of them), daddy, her brother, mommy, toys, food, drink, and even church. I'm so proud of her! I'm interested in what she'll say next.

I wanted to display this on my table so that we'd all see it multiple times/day. I wanted something cute to go with it, so I got the pine cone that my parents brought home from California and a cute candle but something was missing. I went to Joann's and grabbed some cute fabric and made another easy table runner. Here is the finished product:

Also shown: little girl's hand print turkey

Isn't that fabric adorable??
