This was a frustrating and rewarding project. I had to figure this one out on my own, and it took a little time. I hope I can show how to make it.
Supplies:
(2) 8.5 x 18 inch pieces - cotton
4 x 18 inch - cotton
Ribbon for tie (or make your own)
Thread
Instructions:
1. Make ties.
I made mine out of some extra fabric. 3x8 inches. Fold length-wise right sides together, sew then turn right side out. Sew the ends and done!
2. Fold the small (18x4) under wrong sides together about 1/4 inch length-wise. Do one side only.
3. Place the small piece onto the large piece , raw sides together (like an overlay) onto one Large piece (18x8.5). Place 2nd L piece right sides and sew around. Leave a hole!
4. Pull right side out. Add ties and sew hole.
5. Measure and mark every 1 1/2 inches. Sew up where the crayons go, leave the top open.
